On Tuesday West Bengal Government grants Rs. 50,000 to each Durgapuja Committee, 50% discount on the electricity bill.
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee told reporters.
The chief secretary and administrative officials discussed how to cope with the coronavirus situation.
CM Mamata Banerjee also asked the organisers to ensure that all visitors wear masks at all times and use hand santisers before entering the puja pandal. The organisers can distribute masks and santisers.
This year Durga Puja will be celebrated from October 11 to October 15.
