Three Northeastern Indian states Meghalaya, Manipur and Tripura celebrates their Statehood Day

Northeastern India, Meghalaya, Manipur and Tripura celebrate Statehood day today, 21st January. The states of Tripura, Manipur and Meghalaya became full-fledged states on this day.

Meghalaya, called lands of tourism, celebrates its 50 years today. On January 21, 1972, Meghalaya became a new state of Northeastern India.

The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, has greeted the people of Manipur, Meghalaya and Tripura on their Statehood Days.

In a tweet, PM Modi said, “Greetings to the people of Manipur, Meghalaya and Tripura on their Statehood Days. These states are making vibrant contributions to India’s development. Praying for their constant progress.”

The three states, Manipur, Meghalaya & Tripura’s rich cultural heritage & contributions in enhancing the nation’s growth, are worth mentioning.
