BSF EXHIBITS HUMANITY, EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE IN THE HOUSE AS WELL AS SEIZED THE COUNTRY-MADE PISTOL

The incident took place at around 2050 hrs on 27th January 2022 in the area of ​​Border Out Post Charmeghna falling under the area of ​​141 Battalion of BSF.

Sukumar age 33 years, S/o Ganpati Sarkar, village Charmeghna’s house suddenly caught fire. When the villagers sought help from the Charmeghna Company Commander, he reached the spot without delay along with the troops. The fire was brought under control after much effort.

The fire was also extinguished and the Husband–wife scorched in the fire was also evacuated to the hospital in time.

During the incident, Sukumar and his wife Priyanka were seriously burnt in the fire. Both were later admitted by BSF jawans to Karimpur Hospital for treatment.

First performed the religion of humanity, then the duty towards the country.

While extinguishing the fire, the jawans also recovered a country-made pistol from Sukumar Sarkar’s house. Troops had a little doubt that Sukumar might be involved in smuggling activities. Later, the country-made weapon was handed over to the Hoogalberia Police Station.

The villagers expressed their gratitude towards the BSF jawans. They told that if the troops had not helped him in time, the fire could have spread to other houses as well due to which there could have been heavy damage to the nearby houses.

Public Relations Officer, South Bengal Frontier stated that our jawans take full care of the security of the International Boundary as well as the safety of the people. BSF troops stand shoulder to shoulder with the people in case of any untoward incident. Investigation is going on into the illegal weapon found from Sukumar’s house.
