Manipur minister Thongam Biswajit, who is the BJP Candidate from Thongju assembly constituency said the Bharatiya Janata Party has fulfilled the promises made to the people during the Manipur assembly election campaigning in the last five years; therefore, the party will easily form the government again by winning over 40 seats.
While addressing a public rally on Wednesday, Thongam Biswajit Singh said “We promise a bandh and blockade free Manipur, we have fulfilled it. To protect the indigenous population of the state, we have brought the Inner Line Permit System.”
The minister said the Congress party must accept the fact that the Bharatiya Janata Party has extinguished the challenges the people of Manipur faced during their period. “Now, the people of Manipur do not have to queue up outside the filling stations overnight just to get a liter of petrol”.
The minister also added that the Bharatiya Janata Party has also fulfilled Manipur’s dream of better road and air connectivity, which the previous governments had neglected.
Many senior leaders including Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, Union Minister of State Pratima Bhoumik, Nagaland Deputy Chief Minister Yanthungo Patton, Nagaland State President Manipur State President A Sharda Devi, State President, BJP Nagaland Temjen Imna Along, Manipur State Prabhari Sambit Patra, NE State BJP General Secretary (Org.) Ajay Jamwal, Assam Minister Ashok Singal and other BJP leaders attended the programme.
Praising Thongam Biswajit Singh Assam Chief Minister Dr Himata Biswa Sarma said that BJP has enormous respect and place for him, and he deserved more than 90 percent of the total votes. “Have him win this election, and I believe he will work tremendously for better Manipur.
