The Bangladesh National Flag was hoisted in the morning and a wreath was laid at the bust of Bangabandhu on the “Mujib Chiranjeev” stage. Deputy High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Kolkata Toufique Hasan and Officers in charge of Political, Sports and Education, Trade Consular and Press Wing of the Deputy High Commission also laid wreaths at the bust of Mujibur Rahman. Besides that, all the employees of the Deputy High Commission and Sonali Bank were also present.
After that, the statements sent by the President, Prime Minister, Foreign Minister and State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Govt. of Bangladesh were read out by Counsular Education Rizaul Islam, Consular Bashir Uddin, First Secretary (Commercial) Shamsul Arif and First Secretary (Political-1) and Head of Embassy Shamima Ismahin.
