Air Marshal DK Patnaik Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Air Command inspected Air Force Station Kalaikunda from 04 to 07 May 22. He was received by Air Commodore Ran Singh Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Station Kalaikunda.
The Air Marshal was presented with a Guard of Honour on arrival. The Air Officer was briefed upon the operational, maintenance and administrative preparedness of the Station. He also visited various units and sections of the Station and interacted with air warriors, personnel from Defence Security Corps, Military Engineers Service and defence civilians. In his address, he impressed upon all personnel the importance of being conversant with their role in operations and confident in operating aircraft and systems. He appreciated the effort put in by all personnel of the Station in meeting all the assigned tasks in a befitting manner. The Air Marshal also utilized this opportunity to visit the nearby Air Force Station Salua.
