International Day of Yoga 2022 with the theme ‘Yoga for Humanity’ was celebrated with enthusiasm by the cadets of 47 Assam R & V Sqn NCC, Khanapara at the Indoor Stadium of College of Veterinary Science, AAU, Khanapara. Col Shomir Bhatnagar, Officer Commanding, Dr Bibekananda Saikia, Dean, COVS, Dr Ranjeet Neog, ADWS were present on the occasion. Dr Rohini Kumar Roy, Yoga instructor and Professor (Retd) conducted the Yoga proceedings 185 cadets including ex cadets and staff of COVS was present on the occasion.
Yoga was conducted wef 0600-0700 was at the Indoor Sports Complex of the College. Basic asanas and Pranayam were explained , demonstrated and practiced. Importance of adopting Yoga as a daily routine was also emphasized. Cadets pledged to adopt Yoga for their well being and to bring positivity into their lives. The program ended with distribution of refreshments to the cadets.
