Pandal hoppers in Margherita sub division under Tinsukia District are going to get an nature-based theme in this year Durga puja celebrations.This year Ledo railway Sarbajanin Durga Puja committee has made “Globe” as their theme which is one of the popular Durga puja in Margherita sub division and this year they are celebrating 117th year Durga puja celebration.
Talking to the correspondent, Rana Nath and Kuldeep Singh member of Ledo railway Sarbajanin Durga Puja committee said, “Every year we chose eco-friendly themes which resonates with the people very much we have chosen Globe as our theme for which we want to highlight the importance of Mother nature.
Altogether 136 Durga Puja is celebrated under Margherita sub division of Tinsukia district and this year Ledo Railway Sarbajanin Durga Puja committee won the best Durga Puja award which has been awarded by Sharada Devi Khaitan Memorial trust,Tinsukia said Rana Nath. Margherita Sub division Administration(C) and Margherita Police have kept strict vigil during this year Durga puja celebration and if anyone found doing mischievous and unfamiliar activities shall be punished under the law said Palash Rajkumar Ahom, ADC(i/c) Margherita.
