A new “Warship Overseeing Team ( WOT) Complex – Phase I” was commissioned by Commodore PR Hari (Retd), C&MD, GRSE in the presence of Warship Production Superintendent, all ranks and supporting staff of WOT (Kol).This will foster greater co-ordination and synergy between the Indian Navy and the Shipyard, and provide impetus to delivery of mission ready platforms being constructed at GRSE.
This complex facilitates integrated operations of subunits of WOT (Kolkata) there by enhancing the efficiency of the overseeing process of the unit which has coordinated delivery of 119 Platforms till date. Culmination of Guarantee Refits of two warships including one from a Friendly Foreign Nation before scheduled time is a notable milestone of the unit in this calendar year.
