BSF is organizing a Cycle Rally on the occasion of 75th anniversary of India’s independence. The rally, which started from Agartala (Tripura) on November 01st, 2022, reached at the Border area of Nadia district in the evening of December 07th, 2022. The officers and jawans of the 82 Battalion under the South Bengal Frontier welcomed the participants of the cycle rally by garlanding them. After this, the rally passed through the Border road and reached at Border Out Post Horandipur, 54 Battalion for night rest where school children and villagers welcomed the rally by showering flowers.
Today morning on 08th December, 2022 all the rally participants were ready to move towards their destination with renewed vigour. After this Shri Sanjay Kumar, DIG, Sector HQrs, Krishnanagar flagged off the rally.
Sanjay Kumar, DIG states that the main objective of this rally is to create a sense of patriotism in the hearts of the people living in the Border areas, create a good image of the Border Security Force and motivate more and more youths to join the Armed Forces. Apart from this, a message has to be given to the youth not to indulge in smuggling and other anti-social activities and to enhance their bright future.
