Veteran Congress leader and former Rajya Sabha MP from Assam Karnendu Bhattacharjee passed away at the age of 84 at a hospital in Noida on Friday morning.
Bhattacharya was a two-time from 1996 to 2008 Rajya Sabha Congress MP from and former MLA of Southern part of Assam’s Silchar assembly constituency.
Bhattacharjee was admitted to the hospital for the past several days suffering from various age-related ailments.
