The First ‘Agniveer’ Common Entrance Examination (CEE) of North Bengal for recruitment of ‘Agniveers’ into the Indian Army was conducted at Siliguri on 15 Jan 23. The CEE was attended by almost 1000 young aspirants from the eight districts of North Bengal.
These candidates had been selected after a series of rigorous physical and medical tests held during the month of December 2022. The CEE which was the first of its kind in North Bengal was organised under the aegis of Trishakti Corps.
Candidates in Merit in the CEE shall be enrolled into the Indian Army during the last week of February. The Agniveer Scheme is a revolutionary and transformational Human Resources Management initiative of Indian Army which is expected to provide a boost to operational readiness of the forces as well as the local economy of the region.
