Airports Authority of India-NER continuous effort to connect local community and aware people about better air connectivity in the region, a guided educational tour of students from a local school was organized at Airports Authority of India’s Donyi Polo Airport, Itanagar recently.
The educational trip of students from HIM International School, Itanagar was conducted on 10 Feb, 2023 in guidance with the Airports Authority of India officials at Donyi Polo Airport – Itanagar.
The group of students were briefed about the daily functioning of the airport with visuals of different installations and functional area like terminal building, apron, taxiway, fire-service station, runway etc. The students were equally curious and enquired about the lighting system & maneuvering of the aircraft in different areas of apron.
The students were briefed and their queries were addressed by Airport Director D.M. Sajnani; P.V. Sreedhar, AGM (Electrical) and P.N. Tiwari, Senior Manager (Civil) on servers subjects of their interests.
The students and the teachers accompanying them were happy to learn about the airport infrastructure and its functioning. They returned from the airport with a larger understanding and memories of the visit to the airport.
