On 16 Feb’ 2023, the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit of 08 Battalion BSF, under South Bengal Frontier, along with Child Line (NGO), organized a seminar at Ramnagar High School to raise awareness among border people about Human Trafficking and Child Sexual Abuse. A total of 11 teachers and 150 students participated in the program, and medical staff provided information about first aid CPR to the students.
On the same day, 82 Battalion BSF organized a free medical camp at Brahmanagar Government School, led by 08 doctors, DIG of SHQ Krishnanagar, Regional President of BSF Women’s Welfare Association (BWWA) and BSF CMO. The medical camp benefited about 500 border residents. In addition, BSF distributed sports items to the students of the school under the civic action programme.
Simultaneously 84 Battalion BSF distributed essential items to the needy villagers and distributed sports items to the youths in the area of BOP N C Pur of Beharampur Sector.
The teachers, students, and villagers expressed their gratitude and appreciation towards BSF and the NGO for conducting such awareness-raising activities and civic action programs. They also urged them to organize similar programs in the future.
