On April 30, 2023, an exciting friendly volleyball match was played between the Border Security Force and the Border Guard Bangladesh at Border Post Ranghat, 68 Battalion, under the South Bengal Frontier. The match was inaugurated by the commanding officers of both forces.
About 64 BSF personnel, including the commanding officer of 68 Battalion, were present on behalf of BSF in this match. From the Border Guard Bangladesh side, 25 BGB personnel, including the commanding officer of 58 BGB, were present. The match began at 4 pm and attracted around 350 spectators from nearby villages. After a closely fought match, the BSF team emerged as the winners by 2-0.
At the end of the match, the commanders of both forces distributed prizes to the players. The Commander of BGB expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome and the friendly match, and emphasized the lasting friendship between India and Bangladesh. In his closing address, the Commanding Officer of the 68 BN BSF reiterated the importance of cooperative relations between the BSF and the Border Guard Bangladesh on the International Border. He also assured that such friendly games would continue to be organized in the future to further strengthen the relations between the border guarding forces of both countries.
