A 12 day Adventure Camp for 132 children of Army personnel and public schools serving in West Bengal, Jharkhand, Sikkim and the seven North Eastern states just concluded on 26 May 23 after a traditional Campfire and Bengal Safari. This camp offered an opportunity to the participating children to instil a spirit of adventurism and personality development.
An initiative of the Eastern Command, the Camp achieved the objectives of inculcating a spirit of adventure, building character qualities and exposing our future generations to National initiatives including Khelo India, Green India and Swachh Bharat. The children were also exposed to the rich heritage of Sikkim and got an opportunity to meet war heroes including Sub Maj (Hony Capt) Yogendra Singh Yadav, PVC (Retd) as well as eminent sportspersons including former Indian Football icon Bhaichung Bhutia.
The Adventure Camp was declared closed by General Officer Commanding, Black Cat Division post a vibrant Variety Entertainment programme by the participants. Speaking on the occasion the General Officer complimented the children for participating in the Adventure Camp with loads of zeal and enthusiasm and exhorted them to be good citizens by contributing towards Nation building.
Indeed, joining the Indian Army is the most prideful and life-changing decision for any Aspirant. Kids are the future of any country.Showering them with feelings of nationalism and joining the Armed Forces would help the kids as well as the country. When kids are motivated and guided to the right path, they often turn an important asset to the country.
Overall, choosing a career path is a self made choice. Although the Indian army is just not a career option, it is a mixture of courage, valour, sacrifice and professionalism.
The Indian Army who are always made more than a billion people of the Motherland feel safe by guarding country’s International borders with their selfless sacrifice and dedication has also been very prominent with its contribution towards sports helping the country provide some of the best athletes on the global stage.
Small Kids should be motivated to join the Indian army through the above-mentioned ways. It is also significant to understand that joining the Indian army is just not enough, one should be cultivated with the values of sacrifice, pride and professionalism. So support your kid’s dreams and encourage them to do the best for themselves and the country.
Indeed, this 12 day summer camp was a life learning lesson for the youngsters.
