An Ex-Servicemen rally was organised by Trishakti Corps on 04 June 2023 to reach out to veterans in North Bengal.

The rally provided a crucial link to connect with Veterans and Veer Naris from the district of Jalpaiguri, Alipurduar and Cooch Behar in West Bengal. The event garnered immense support and participation with more than 800 Veterans and Veer Naris attending from various parts of the region.

The rally was held in close coordination with Zila Sainik Board, Record Offices and State administration focused on addressing the grievances of Ex-Servicemen as well as alleviating the day to day challenges faced by the veterans. The event also aimed to foster a healthy and interactive platform for Ex-servicemen to engage with serving personnel and civil dignitaries.

During the rally, a multitude of problems and concerns were addressed with immediate resolution wherever possible. Other issues were duly recorded for follow up actions with relevant institution such as Record Offices, Zila Sainik Board and Pension Disbursing Banks. The event also witnessed the participation of notable members from the civil society, who actively contributed to the discussions.

The General Officer Commanding Kripan Division reiterated the unwavering commitment of Army to the welfare and well-being of Ex-Servicemen. The veterans, Veer Naris and their Kin expressed their heartfelt appreciation for the efforts made by the Indian Army to reach out to them and address their concerns.
