Taposhree Baruah, already recognized as “Young Adult Author of the Year 2022” by a Toronto-based publishing company, has added another achievement to her resume. Her book is the first in India to contain the maximum number of English motivational quotes in a single volume, making her the youngest author to accomplish this feat. “Pen Down,” her debut book, received international recognition and quickly became a bestseller.

The Mind, Baruah’s second book, has recently been released online, and has quickly climbed the ranks to become one of the top 50 bestselling books. Taposhree Baruah is deeply engaged in social causes beyond her literary achievements. She cofounded an NGO, serves as the Chairperson of a community-based organization, and is a Global Youth Ambassador for a UK-based children’s charity. As part of her “Read for Social Cause Movement,” Baruah introduces the innovative concept of merging the culture of reading with social service with the release of “The Mind.” Her vision is to build a global reading community that supports diverse social causes through the reading of books.

Taposhree Baruah presented her roadmap for the Read for Social Cause Movement during her speech at the event. She announced that she would donate her entire author royalties from “The Mind” to a shelter for voiceless animals called Street Animal Welfare, showing her commitment to helping voiceless animals. In addition to Amazon and Flipkart, the book is now available on major online platforms.

Additionally, to her literary and philanthropic endeavours, Taposhree Baruah has been offered a study opportunity at the University of Manchester. In addition, she was awarded the prestigious South Asia Bachelor’s Global Futures Scholarship, an honour bestowed only upon 40 South Asian students from South Asia.
