19th Region Commander Border Guard Bangladesh – Inspectors General Border Security Force Level Border Coordination Conference is being held in Jashore, Bangladesh from 2nd September to 05th September, 2023, today. The BSF delegation reached in Bangladesh on Saturday morning via the ICP Petrapole-Benapole of both the countries.
The 21 member BGB delegation is being led by Mohammad Morshed Alam, Additional Director General, Region Commander, North West Region, Rangpur. The BGB delegation consists of Shamim Ahmed, SGP, SPP, Additional Director General, Region Comdr, SW Region, Jashore and other 19 delegates.
The 07 member BSF delegation is being led by Shri Ayush Mani Tiwari, IPS, IG, BSF, South Bengal Frontier. The BSF delegation consists of Shri Dinesh Kumar Yadav, IPS, IG, BSF, Guwahati, Shri Deepak M Damor, IPS, IG, BSF, North Bengal Frontier and 04 delegates from BSF, MHA and MEA.
During the Conference, various issues of mutual interest for Effective Border Management had been discussed which include Joint efforts against Trans-Border crime, concurrence in connection with pending developmental works, measures to check illegal cross border movement. Both the sides shared their agenda points with each other. The matter related to Coordinated Border Management Plan is also being discussed which include Simultaneous Coordinated Patrols both during day and night, sharing of Intelligence, identification of vulnerable areas and increase frequency of meetings at all level, conduct of various other activities which may go a long way in enhancing confidence building between both the Border Guarding Forces and confidence building measures between both border guarding forces to instill faith and confidence among border population of both side.
