Metro Railway has conducted Awareness Programmes against carrying inflammable items inside the train or in the premises of East-West (Green Line) and North-South (Blue Line) Metro Corridors before the festive season. In these programmes which have been held at Phoolbagan, Karunamoyee, Salt Lake Sector V and Kalighat Metro stations on 4th and 5th September,2023 Metro commuters were sensitized against carrying inflammable/explosive articles in the Metro for ensuring safe journey.
Officers and staff of Railway Protection Force (RPF) requested commuters to co-operate and inform in the Helpline Numbers when required if any passenger carries such items inside ]the Metro.
