Assam Rifles organised meet with CSOs at Company Operating Base (COB) Thoubal in Thoubal district of Manipur on 13 September 2023. Aprrox 50 plus representatives incl CSOs, ESMs, Meira Paibis and Addl SP along with Police OC Thoubal Police Station along with other influential persons participated in the meet & took active part in the discussion that covered a range of important issues like security, peace & progress apart from issues of concern for the local populace of Manipur in the prevailing IS Situation in State.
Importance of joint efforts of Assam Rifles & CSOs in maintaining law and order and commitment of Assam Rifles in ensuring peace and security in Manipur & extending all out support for peace & prosperity in the region were also discussed. The representatives lauded the contributions of Assam Rifles towards Manipur and looked forward for such opportunities in the future for aligning efforts for cause of lasting peace & prosperity in Manipur. At Moreh on 13 Sep 2023 in a significant development, four representatives from the Kuki Inpi Tengnoupal held a constructive interaction with the Commandant of Assam Rifles at the New Kuki Liaison Post. The discussions focused on enhancing cooperation and addressing pertinent community-related issue.
The dialogue underscored the commitment of both parties to fostering harmonious relations and mutual understanding between the Kuki community and the Assam Rifles. Matters of local concern, such as infrastructure development, security, and socio-economic upliftment, were deliberated upon during the interaction.They also conveyed their eagerness to collaborate in the future for the betterment of the region. This positive interaction is seen as a significant step toward strengthening ties between the Kuki community and the security forces, emphasizing the importance of peaceful coexistence and development in the region.
