COACHING CLASSES AND TRAINING CAPSULE FOR SSC GD RECRUITMENT RALLY:
Assam Rifles under aegis of Headquarters Inspector General Assam Rifles (South) carried out an interaction and motivational lecture for aspirants of SSC (GD) and Sainik School who are presently availing coaching of physical and written exam at Assam Rifles Battalion Headquarter at Kangvai Sub-Division, District Churachandpur (Manipur) on 4th January 2024.
The team of Assam Rifles interacted and motivated the students for their upcoming exam. The students were also briefed about the security, health, education and stress management while preparing for their respective examination. They were also briefed about the nuances of the procedure for joining the Indian Armed Forces including physical and academic requirements and the selection process for various types of entries in the Armed forces.
The lecture was followed by an interactive session in which queries raised by the students were answered. A total of 35 students are being trained in the Assam Rifles Battalion for the upcoming exam.
In a similar such initiative at HQ Veng village, Churachandpur District, Assam Rifles is organising Coaching Classes and Training Capsule for the upcoming SSC GD Constable Recruitment Rally year 2024 from 5th January 2024 to 5th February 2024 at Assam Rifles Camp.
The training capsule for a duration of 04 weeks is aimed at providing theory classes and also to impart physical training to the aspirants from remote areas and economically-challenged backgrounds. A total of 93 (24 Female and 69 Male) aspirants from 15 villages of Churachandpur District are attending the said Coaching classes cum pre recruitment training. The training capsule will also impart knowledge about the procedures of recruitment, various activities involved and their queries will be solved.
LECTURE ON NATIONAL BEEKEEPING & HONEY MISSION:
Assam Rifles conducted an awareness drive and conducted informative lecture regarding National Beekeeping and Honey Mission, at village Aina, Churachandpur district on 5th January 2024.
Assam Rifles being a forerunner in promoting awareness and economic upliftment of the people in the area of responsibility, conducted an awareness drive to promote holistic growth of beekeeping industry for income & employment generation for farming and non-farming households. The event was aimed at explaining the procedures and various requirements regarding setting up of horticulture production and infrastructural facilities. They were also briefed regarding the benefits of such development with respect to income generation and employment of local youth. Villagers were also told that for any query/doubt they can approach the Assam Rifles camp at Aina Village. Approximately 40 people attended the said drive from Aina and adjoining villages.
INTER – VILLAGE VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT:
Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) are organising an Inter-Village Volleyball Tournament at Changpol Village, district Chandel from 4th-19th January 2024.
The tournament is being organised with the aim to motivate local youth to refrain from involvement in current communal violence in the Manipur State and promote sports culture in border villages of Manipur State.
The Volleyball matches will be conducted on a daily basis, between team of Assam Rifles and teams from Villages Zoldam, Changpol, SL Changpol, T Nampao and Khangtung, Chandel district. On 04 Jan 24, match between Village T Nampao and Changpol was conducted wherein, T Nampao won with a score of 5-0 sets.
In suangdoi village, churachandpur Assam Rifles conducted another friendly volleyball match with the youth of village to engage them in healthy and wholesome activities.
