Assam Rifles paid tributes to Late Sub Thanseia (Retd) by laying wreath at Tlangnuam, Aizawl on 03 April 2024. The 102 years old World War – II veteran of Battle of Kohima had a glorious military career of 28 years.
Upon retiring, he worked as Tlangnuam Village Council President. He also actively participated in veteran affairs and educational initiatives for his locality. He was felicitated for his efforts by Assam Rifles during ESM Rally at Aizawl in 2022.
He passed away on 31 March at Aizawl after being admitted on 24 Mar. The family held a Prayer ceremony on 03 April wherein Ex- Servicemen and serving soldiers of Assam Rifles gathered to pray for the departed soul. As a mark of respect, Assam Rifles laid wreaths on behalf of DG Assam Rifles and paid tribute to the braveheart.
