General Manoj Pande COAS visited HQ Eastern Command and was briefed on operational preparedness & prevailing security situation.
During the visit, COAS emphasised on the need for unwavering vigilance on the borders, the need for Technology Absorption in all fields and concerted efforts towards Nation Building across all domains. COAS complimented All Ranks for their professionalism & commitment towards duty.
General Manoj Pande,PVSM AVSM VSM ADC is a serving four star officer in the Indian Army, who is the 31st and the current Chief of the Army Staff.He previously served as the Vice Chief of the Army Staff, General Officer-Commanding-in-Chief of Eastern Command and also as the Commander-in-Chief (CINCAN) of Andman and Nicobar Command.He is the first officer from the Corps of Engineers and also first from non infantry/armoured corps to become the Army Chief.
