Acting on specific intelligence of presence of arms and ammunition in general area Zalenkot Village, Churachandpur, Assam Rifles and Manipur Police launched a joint operation on 30 April 2024 and recovered a total of nine weapons, to include, one 9mm Carbine Machine Gun, Four 12 mm Single Barrel Rifles, One 40 mm Grenade Launcher, Two Improvised Heavy Mortars, One 9mm Pistol, ammunition and war like stores. The recovered items have been handed over to Police.
