Assam Rifles organised a Friendly Volleyball Match at Hiangtam Khunou, Singhat and Songdoi Villages, Churachandpur district, Manipur on May 7, 2024.
Organising sports events serves as a catalyst for community engagement and bringing residents together to celebrate the spirit of sportsmanship. A friendly match was organised to encourage the youth of Hiangtam Khunou, Singhat and Songdoi village about the benefits of proactive physical fitness, development of sportsman spirit and to provide a platform to the budding talent in sports to display their potential. It was a well contested match between both the teams and gave a tough fight to each other.
Through this initiative, Assam Rifles aims to encourage physical activity and teamwork while providing a platform for young athletes to showcase their skills.
32 youth participated and were briefed about the sports culture in India and the opportunities available in today’s environment in various sports genre.
