The joint column of Assam Rifles and personnel of Churachandpur Police Station (Manipur) launched an operation based on specific input and recovered a huge cache of arms, explosives and war like stores near Khengmol Village, Churachandpur District (Manipur) on 22 May 2024.
A total of 11 weapons, various ammunition and war like stores were recovered during the said operation. This includes one Tear Gas Gun, two modified Sniper Rifles with telescopic sights, one .303 Rifle, one 9 mm Pistol, four 12 Bore Single Barrel Rifles, two improvised heavy Mortars, ammunition tear smoke grenade, anti riot rubber bullets, stun grenades and other war like stores.
The recovered items have been handed over to Manipur Police.
