The 5-day yesteBox Book Fair at Khanapara in Guwahati started today. The organizers informed that they are in the state capital once again after receiving an immensely positive response last month.
“Pay for the box and not for the books” is the tagine of the fair. Book lovers can take up a box – the smaller and the larger one costs ₹ 1500 and ₹ 2500 respectively. The quantity of books hold no bar. NE India Broadcast reported about this book fair last month too.
“We plan to organize such book fairs in every capital city of every Northeastern state in the days to come”, organizers told NE India Broadcast today evening.
“The best feedback is that the book lovers are appreciating the efforts, and critics say that the book fair should not have been limited to just 4-5 days.”, the organizers added, responding to our query at the venue.
It may be mentioned that just as it was last month, the book fair is being held at the Durga Mandir Premises, opposite to Hotel Vivanta by Taj, Farm Gate, Khanapara.
