Acting on specific intelligence of presence of arms and ammunition in general area Dampi Ridge in Churachandpur district, Manipur, Assam Rifles and Manipur Police launched a joint operation on 11 July 24 and recovered three Improvised 12 mm Single Barrel Guns, one 9mm Pistol, two Improvised Long Range Heavy Mortar, ammunition and war like stores. The recovered items have been handed over to Manipur Police.
