Assam Rifles hosted an exciting “Day at the Assam Rifles Camp” for NCC cadets at Veng Camp, Churachandpur, on 10 October 2024.
This action-packed day was designed to give 59 enthusiastic cadets from Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Tuinom, a firsthand glimpse into life at the camp. Both boys and girls were welcomed with open arms. The adventure kicked off with a camp tour that left everyone buzzing with curiosity.
An inspirational talk by the company commander about the Armed Forces, inspired the cadests to join the Indian Armed Forces. The cadets then got to enjoy fun sports, games, and even had a friendly competition that ended with well-earned prizes!
As the day wrapped up with lively banter, it was clear this was more than just a visit. It was a day of learnin, and newfound aspirations for these future leaders, making it an unforgettable experience for both cadets and their teachers.
ASSAM RIFLES ORGANIZED MEGA EVENT EMPOWERING WOMEN AND CHILDREN
Assam Rifles organized a week long mega event under the theme “Empowering Women and Children for a Brighter Future.” The event witnessed an overwhelming response from the local community and provided a platform for empowerment, education, cultural exchange and awareness.
The events aimed at engaging and uplifting women and children through various activities organized from over a week. The activities included career counseling, motivational lecture, screening, cultural dance, yoga and mobile library. Stationery and study material was also distributed to school children.
The events rolled out in Aibol Joupi, Kovang, Wayang, Sehlon, New Samtal and Old Samtal, Chandel District. An impressive number of 974 villagers including women and children participated in all the events with great enthusiasm. The event fostered a sense of joy and unity. The event enhanced the bond between the local populace and the Assam Rifles.
