ASSAM RIFLES CELEBRATED CHILDREN’S DAY ACROSS MULTIPLE DISTRICTS IN MANIPUR

In an inspiring celebration of Children’s Day on 14 November 2024, Assam Rifles organized events across Tengnoupal, Kakching, Thoubal, Chandel, and Kangpokpi Districts of Manipur, engaging over 1,500 students and teachers in a series of cultural, educational, and interactive activities.
In Tengnoupal District, festivities were held at Yangoubung Village, Loisi Village, and JJ Orphanage in Moreh, where approximately 300 students and 25 teachers from nearby villages participated. Students showcased their talents through Bollywood and Western performances, including singing, dancing, and drama. The celebrations included a friendly volleyball match between Assam Rifles personnel and students, with essential items distributed at Loisi Village and JJ Orphanage.
In Kakching and Thoubal Districts, Children’s Day was celebrated at ARPS Thoubal, ARPS Kakching, Kambathel Village, Berukhudam Primary School, and Brighter Academy in Sajik Tampak, Chandel District. Around 300 children from these schools participated in fun games, food stalls, cultural events, and motivational talks, reinforcing the importance of education and sports. Sweets were distributed, and local authorities lauded Assam Rifles for their positive impact on the community.
At Assam Rifles Public School, Keithalmanbi in Kangpokpi District and Chaoyaima Higher Secondary School in Thoubal District, 398 students and 35 teachers engaged in vibrant activities. The day began with a group song, “You Are My Sunshine,” followed by solo songs, dances, skits, and games. The principal’s speech motivated students to embrace learning and community values, and certificates were awarded to recognize participants’ efforts.
These celebrations across Manipur districts highlight Assam Rifles’ dedication to nurturing young minds, fostering unity, and creating a lasting positive impact. Assam Rifles’ efforts were widely appreciated by local leaders, school administrators, and the children who participated.

 

Assam Rifles distributed essential items to residents at a relief camp in Loisi village, Tengnoupal District on 13th November 2024.
The initiative aimed to provide much-needed assistance to residents in the area, with essential items including rations, mattresses, table lamps, and dairy products being distributed to the relief camp.
The effort was undertaken to address the immediate needs of the villagers, ensuring their well-being during the changing weather and challenging times.
By providing these vital supplies, Assam Rifles hopes to offer relief and comfort, significantly improving the quality of life for the affected families.

ASSAM RIFLES PAID HOMAGE TO ITS BRAVEHEARTS WHO MADE SUPREME SACRIFICE IN LINE OF DUTY AT THOUBAL DISTRICT MANIPUR

On November 13, 2024, a solemn wreath-laying ceremony was held to honour Colonel Viplav Tripathi (Late) and five other brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty in an ambush by VBIGs in General Area S Sehken on 13 Nov 2021.
The ceremony took place at Battalion Headquarter, Phundrei attended by Officers and all ranks who gathered to pay their respects to the fallen heroes. The ceremony began with a formal guard of honor and observed a moment of silence. paid their respects by laying wreaths in tribute to the soldiers’ valour and dedication. The ceremony highlighted the profound impact these individuals had on their comrades and the country’s defense, emphasizing the selflessness that defined their service. Their presence reminded everyone of the personal loss experienced by military families and the deep bond that service members share.
The event concluded with a final salute and the playing of the Last Post, honoring Colonel (Late) Viplav Tripathi and the five soldiers’ commitment to their nation. Their sacrifice serves as a reminder of the dedication of all armed forces personnel and the high price of safeguarding the nation’s peace and security.

ASSAM RIFLES PAID TRIBUTE TO BRAVEHEART AT TENGNOUPAL DISTRICT MANIPUR

Assam Rifles conducted a solemn “Wreath Laying Ceremony” at Tengnoupal on 13 November 2024, to pay tribute to Rifleman Soorya Nath Ram, who made the ultimate sacrifice during a fire fight in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kabchirwan area on 13 November 1995.
During an Anti-Terrorist Operation in Kabchirwan, Rfn Soorya Nath Ram’s party came under heavy militant fire. Demonstrating remarkable presence of mind, he moved across the battlefield with great determination, charging towards the firing militants.
In the ensuing exchange of fire, Rfn Soorya Nath Ram sustained fatal gunshot wounds and laid down his life in the line of duty, making the supreme sacrifice for the nation. His bravery and supreme sacrifice were honored at the War Memorial in Tengnoupal.

*ASSAM RIFLES CONDUCTS WREATH LAYING CEREMONY TO HONOUR BRAVEHEART AT MANTRIPUKHRI*

Assam Rifles organised a wreath laying ceremony for Rifleman (Late) Jai Prakash Oraon, Shaurya Chakra of 4 Assam Rifles who made supreme sacrifice for the nation on 15 November 2017, at Sikhli Mor (Chamol-Sajik Tampak).
Assam Rifles honoured the brave heart by paying homage at War Memorial for his supreme sacrifice for the cause of the Nation disregarding his personal safety.
The ceremony commenced with the wreath laying and a motivational speech was delivered to all ranks narrating the story of the brave heart in the service of nation.
A total of Two Officer, six Junior Commissioned Officers and 47 Other Ranks of Assam Rifles paid tribute by laying wreath & according Guard of Honour.
The Veer Nari Smt Ema Sangita Oraon was also felicitated by this Battalion on 15 November 2024.

ASSAM RIFLES CELEBRATES CHILDREN’S DAY WITH HEARTWARMING EVENTS ACROSS TENGNOUPAL DISTRICT

On 14 November 2024, Assam Rifles celebrated Children’s Day with enthusiasm and community spirit, organizing events at The Mission Blind School, Heikakpokpi, and in Khudengthabi for children from Khudengthabi and Zoumnuom villages.

At The Mission Blind School, Assam Rifles personnel distributed essential items and sweets, bringing joy to the children.
In Khudengthabi, the celebration continued with the theme “One Day with Company Commander.

Over 300 children participated in a range of fun-filled activities, including Musical Chairs, Tug of War, Spoon Race, and Lemon Race.
