Mrs Nisha Kalita, Regional President Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA), Eastern Command organised a Community Outreach Programme at Nirmal Hriday, Kalighat. Residents of Kolkata Military Station donated various items for this event to support the needy people.
Six months back various Donation boxes were placed all across the Military Station, Kolkata to collect the items for further distribution to the Charitable Trusts.
Prior to this event these donations were also made to Goonj and Nirmala Shishu Bhavan, a centre for the destitute administered by ‘Missionaries of Charity’.
