BSF apprehended 2 Bangladeshi nationals on Indo–Bangladesh Border, handed over to BGB as a gesture of humanity and goodwill

On the morning of June 03, 2022, 68 Battalion troops apprehended 2 Bangladeshi nationals while performing vigilant duty in their area. Identification of apprehended Bangladeshi Nationals – 1. Sakina Sheikh (27), District – Noshindi (Bangladesh), 2. Shishir (22), District – Barguna (Bangladesh).

During interrogation, they told that they are a citizen of Bangladesh and he had come to India to earn money but due to lack of job in India, he was going back to Bangladesh. When they were crossing the International Boundary, they were apprehended by the BSF troops on duty.

The BSF, after thoroughly examining the Bangladeshi nationals, handed over to the Border Guard Bangladesh on humanitarian and goodwill basis.

Yogendra, Commanding Officer, 68th Battalion, stated that Border Security Force is taking strict measures to prevent infiltration along the Indo-Bangladesh border. Considering the seriousness of the crime committed by the apprehended people and to maintain the mutual cooperation and goodwill of the Border Guarding Forces of both the countries, innocent Bangladeshi citizens are handed over to the Border Guard Bangladesh.
