BSF is organizing a Cycle Rally on the occasion of 75th anniversary of India’s independence. The rally started from Agartala on 01st November, 2022 and will reach Kolkata on 11th December, 2022 by covering a distance of 2350 kilometres.
The cycle rally reached Border Out Post Kanapada, 35 Battalion under South Bengal Frontier today, 04th December 2022, where Shri Satish Kumar Dogra, Commanding Officer, 35 Battalion, alongwith officers, jawans, village pradhan of Manikchak, school students and villagers welcomed the cycle rally warmly.
The Commanding Officer of 35 Battalion states that the main objective of this rally is to create a sense of patriotism in the hearts of the people living in the Border areas, to create a good image of the Border Security Force and to motivate more and more youth to join BSF. He further stated that such programs give a message to the youth not to indulge in smuggling and other anti-social activities and to create a bright future for them. In the end, he flagged off the cycle rally for onward journey from Kanapada Border Post.
