Tension prevails when a full grown wild pachyderm was found dead in the morning hours on Tuesday at Khatangpani Pengree under Margherita sub division of Tinsukia district.
The unnatural death of a Wild Pachyderm at Pengree Khatangpani under Margherita sub division of Tinsukia district at night has triggered a furore among the local residents of this area.
The wild elephant was found dead in Manmaujan field which fells under Margherita east range forest office under Digboi Forest Division.
We have send the corpse body for post mortem where doctor reported that due to Electrocution the Wild Pachyderm died at Manmaujan field and after that we cremated the pachyderm body nearby the forest area said Dilip Sakia staff of Margherita east range forest office.
