The Border Security Force (BSF) troops of Border Out Post Songhat and Khutadaha, 159 Battalion under South Bengal Frontier distributed essential items to the border residents under the Civic Action Program. The program aims to provide necessary support to the people residing near the border areas.

During the event, the BSF provided sewing machines, blankets, solar lights, portable toilets, sanitary pads to girl students, and sports items to youths on the border. The total cost of all the essential items is Rs 2,01,118/-. The event was attended by around 200 villagers from nearby villages who highly appreciated the initiative.

Apart from distributing essential items, the BSF troops also organized a volleyball match between Prabatidanga Club and Manafola Club. The people of the area enjoyed the match, and the team of Prabatidanga Club won the match.

The Commanding Officer of 159 Battalion, BSF stated Civic Action Program is an initiative aimed at providing necessary support and assistance to the people living near the border areas. Such programs help in developing a better understanding between the BSF and the border residents and create a harmonious environment.
