ASSAM RIFLES CONDUCTED SECURITY COORDINATION MEET AT SANGAIKOT AND AINA VILLAGE CHURACHANDPUR DISTRICT, MANIPUR
Assam Rifles conducted a Security Coordination Meet at Sangaikot and Aina Village, Churachandpur district of Manipur on 5th April 2024 which witnessed a healthy participation of village authorities including the Village Chiefs and Village Secretary. The said meet provided a platform to all concerned for brainstorming various security issues prevailing in the area, career and growth prospects for the local youth thereby refraining them from engaging in anti- national activities. The need to engage youth in sports, education and other meaningful activities was adequately discussed in the said meet and equally well received by the attendees.
During the meet locals were sensitised and updated on current security situation existing in the area and were encouraged to align their efforts towards a common goal of peace and prosperity in the region. Total 36 Village Chiefs from Makhao, Leisan Tampak, Patzang, Pantha, G Songgel and other adjoining villages of Sangaikot subdivision and Aina attended the said meet. Attendees expressed their solidarity to fight the odds for keeping the area peacful and safe.
ASSAM RIFLES ORGANISES TRAINING OF ASPIRANTS FOR AGNIVEER RECRUITMENT RALLY AT NAMBOL, LILONG, VENG AND THOUBAL IN MANIPUR
Continuing with ongoing efforts to synergise local youth to a better way of living Assam Rifles organised a mock test for aspirants of Agniveer Recruitment Rally at Veng Village, Churachandpur District, and Manipur on 5 April 2024. This mock test has been conducted for aspirants/ applicants of the upcoming Agniveer Recruitment Rally who are currently attending coaching classes organised by Assam Rifles at Veng Village Churachandpur since 18 March 2024. A total of 42 aspirants (33 male and 09 female) participated in the Mock Test.
Further, Assam Rifles has launched a pre-recruitment training program for local youth registered for the Agniveer recruitment scheme at Nambol, Lilong and Thoubal from 26 March to 21 April, providing a comprehensive curriculum to enhance the candidates’ readiness for the selection process. The program emphasizes various aspects of physical fitness and performance, including written curriculum. With a focus on boosting the potential and overall readiness of Agniveer aspirants, the Assam Rifles is committed to empowering local youth by equipping them with the necessary skills, knowledge, and confidence to succeed in the recruitment process.
Also, Assam Rifles conducted a motivation lecture for the students of St Joseph’s school, Chandel on 6th April 2024 motivating the future generations to join the defence forces. The lectured aimed to prepare and equip young boys and girls for a fulfilling career in Security Forces. The lecture saw 23 students, teachers and Guardians who were mentored on valuable insights into the selection process of the Indian Army and the Combined Armed Police Forces.
Assam Rifles remains dedicated to not only ensuring the security of the region but also actively participating in the well-being of the local communities and shaping the future generations towards a bright future.
ASSAM RIFLES PROVIDES EMERGENCY MEDICAL AID TO SNAKE BITE VICTIM
Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters Inspector General Assam Rifles (South) extended life saving medical assistance to a snake bite victim of Zalenphai village, Churachandpur district, Manipur on 05 April 2024.
A 56 years old female was bitten by Snake over left hand on 4th April 2024. She had local swelling & pain at the site of bite and was brought by relatives to the Assam Rifles Unit hospital on 05 April 2024.
The Medical staff examined and immediately rendered essential medical care and stabilized her condition. She is on the road to recovery.
ASSAM RIFLES ASSISTS IN ORGANISING LOKTAK FOOTBALL TROPHY 2023-2024 IN MOIRANG UNDER THE THEME OF KHELO MANIPUR VISION
In continuation of sustained efforts to promote sports and synergising the youth of the state of Manipur, Assam Rifles assisted in organising Loktak Football Trophy 2023-2024 in Moirang, Bishnupur district.
The tournament was organised by All Moirang Football Organisation (AMOFA) and Assam Rifles assisted the esteemed football club in organising the event by providing the Winner’s trophy and other rewards with a view to promote sportsmanship at grassroots levels and further engage the youth in constructive development of the society. The tournament was conducted from 10 March – 05 April 2024 which saw an overall participation of 12 teams segregated into four groups in the initial Round Robin League.
The assistance of Assam Rifles firmly establishes the vision of the force to promote sports activities in Bishnupur district under the theme of “Khelo Manipur” and also promote mutual trust and understanding with the youth of Manipur.
