In a significant effort to motivate young cadets towards a career in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), the 12 Battalion Border Security Force (BSF) under the South Bengal Frontier conducted an impressive weapon display and recruitment awareness event for the National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets of the 11 Bengal NCC Battalion. The event was part of their Annual Camp held on 11 June at the Govt Madrasa School in Malda in which 400 Cadets of 11 Bengal NCC battalion from various schools participated.
The event was graced by the presence Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Sector Headquarters BSF Malda, who attended as the Chief Guest. He was accompanied Commandant of the 12 Battalion BSF, along with otherBSF officers, Jawans and NCC staff members.
The highlight of the event was the interactive session where DIG of SHQ, Malda shared his invaluable experiences with the cadets, emphasizing the pride and honor of serving in the BSF. He encouraged the cadets to consider a career in the BSF and other CAPF, highlighting the numerous opportunities available within these forces. The officers also elaborated on the glorious history and significant contributions of the elite BSF in securing India’s land borders along Bangladesh.
The weapon display showcased the advanced and diverse arsenal of the BSF, leaving the cadets in awe and sparking their interest in the operational capabilities and technical aspects of the force. The BSF officers provided detailed explanations and demonstrations, further inspiring the cadets to pursue careers in the defense and security sectors.
The Public Relations Officer of the South Bengal Frontier AK Arya, DIG said that such initiative by the BSF showcase its commitment to nation-building by inspiring and guiding the youth towards contributing to national security. This event successfully instilled a sense of patriotism and a keen interest in joining the CAPF among the young NCC cadets.
