Assam Rifles in continuation of its ongoing efforts to address the needs and concerns of the locals, distributed Study Materials & essentials to Preach Heritage Orphanage at Chakpikarong, Chandel district (Manipur).
The assistance given to around 60 students aimed to ensure that the basic needs of the children were met. The Assam Rifles relief team worked diligently to ensure a seamless and equitable distribution process reaching out to the affected children & also provided much needed emotional support to the children.
The initiative was well-received by the orphanage management & local community members, who expressed their heartfelt gratitude towards Assam Rifles for their continued support and generosity in order to strengthen the relationship between security forces and the locals even during these challenging times.
ASSAM RIFLES CONTINUES HUMANITARIAN EFFORTS IN CHURACHANDPUR, MANIPUR
Assam Rifles reaffirmed its commitment to humanitarian assistance in Manipur.
In Village Walkhu, Assam Rifles took a step towards kindling education and environmental awareness. Stationery items, including pens, pencils, geometry boxes, notebooks, and volleyballs, were distributed to approximately 80 students in a newly inaugurated school, empowering young learners with essential educational tools.
In addition, to instill a sense of environmental responsibility, a tree plantation drive was also conducted, with students, teachers and Assam Rifles personnel planting 75 saplings. The initiative emphasized the importance of afforestation and sustainability in preserving the region’s natural heritage.
In another swift rescue operation at Singhat, Assam Rifles successfully recovered a toppled truck at Kangkap village, Churachandpur. The challenging terrain and dangerous conditions posed significant difficulties, but the troops responded promptly, ensuring the safe retrieval of the vehicle. The driver and injured persons were also provided immediate medical assistance. The quick and effective response was highly appreciated by the locals, further strengthening the trust between Assam Rifles and the community.
These efforts reflect unwavering commitment of Assam Rifles towards the local population.
ASSAM RIFLES ORGANIZES MEDICAL CAMP IN SUGNU VILLAGE, KAKCHING DISTRICT UNDER OPERATION SADBHAVNA
In a dedicated effort to enhance healthcare accessibility, Assam Rifles, conducted a medical camp at Sugnu village on 22 February 2025 as part of Operation Sadbhavna.
The camp provided much-needed medical assistance, offering health check-ups, consultations, and free medicines to local residents. A total of 152 individuals—including 52 men, 77 women, and 24 children—received medical care. Those requiring additional treatment were referred to appropriate healthcare facilities for further support.
This initiative reflects Assam Rifles’ ongoing commitment to community welfare, ensuring essential healthcare services reach people in remote areas. By addressing medical needs and promoting well-being, the organisation continues to strengthen its bond with local communities.
