DEPUTY COMMANDANT OF 78 BATTALION DIES DURING PHYSICAL ACTIVITY PROGRAM

On March 13, 2022, at around 0730 am, a Walk & Run program was organized from Border Out Post Shobhapur to the 78 Battalion Headquarters, Baisnav Nagar. The event was held in the presence of the Commanding Officer, 78 Battalion, in which a total of 25 personnel including the officers of the Force were involved.

When the group of troops involved in physical activity was about 5-6 kms behind the Battalion Headquarters, Baisnav Nagar, Shri Ajit Singh Tanwar, Deputy Commandant suddenly lost his balance and fell on the ground and after recovering he complained of chest pain. He was immediately admitted to the nearest NTPC hospital after having evacuated in a BSF ambulance, where doctors declared him brought dead. The exact cause of death will be known after the post-mortem report comes.

Let us inform that the deceased Ajit Singh Tanwar is a resident of Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan. His age was about 55 years and he served 33 years of BSF, he was very strong in stature and a good player of Hurdle race. He has also contributed as a coach in the Jammu Frontier of BSF. He left behind his wife and 02 sons.
