Two MBBS doctors place an essential role in Assam politics.
One is the present education minister of Assam, Dr. Ranoj Pegu, elected from the Dhemaji constituency in 2021.
Dr. Pegu has an MBBS degree from Gauhati Medical College is a resident of Chauldhua Baligaon in the Dhemaji district of Assam.
The newly nominated deputy speaker of the Assam Assembly, Dr. Numal Momin, declared the assembly’s deputy speaker.
Dr. Momin completed his MBBS from Gauhati Medical College in 1999 and has an MD degree from Assam Medical College. Momin has been elected as an MLA from Bokajan Constituency second time.
Dr. Momin was also an Assistant Professor at Guwahati Medical College. He was also an MD (Medicine) in Assam Medical College in 2006.
