Opposition less Government in Nagaland

Opposition Naga People’s Front (NPF) has decided to join the ruling People’s Democratic Alliance (PDA).

All India Radio News Kohima confirmed this news.

This decision was taken yesterday during the Party legislators meeting held in the residence of Opposition Leader T R Zeliang in Dimapur.

However, it was not clear whether it would mean a merger of NPF with either of the ruling PDA partners NDPP and BJP led government.

It may be mentioned that NPF is still the single largest party in 60 members of the Nagaland Assembly with 25 MLA.

In 2015, eight Congress MLAs had merged with NPF making it an opposition-less House.
