Nagaland celebrates 61st Statehood Day, President,PM Narendra Modi and CM Rio extend greetings Nagaland people

The Northeastern States of India Nagaland celebrates 61st Statehood Day today.

President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Nagaland CM Neiphiu Rio extended their greetings to the people of Nagaland on its 61st Statehood Day.

The President of India wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter,” Warm greetings to the residents of Nagaland on statehood day! A land of vibrant people and rich culture, Nagaland is blessed with natural resources and serene environment. I pray for the prosperity and well-being of the residents of Nagaland.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote, ” Happy Statehood Day to the people of Nagaland. The state’s fascinating history, colorful festivals and warm-hearted people are greatly admired. May this day reinforce Nagaland’s journey towards growth and success.”

 

The Nagaland chief minister Neiphiu Rio addressed the people of the state during celebrations in Kohima. Stating that “obstacles and the adversities faced by the people of the state made them stronger”, the CM said that it is the “collective responsibility of the people of the state to carry the legacy forward.”

CM Neiphiu Rio posted on X formerly known as Twitter, ” On this 61st Statehood Day, let us recommit ourselves to work harder for our State, with the aim of making Nagaland a developed State in every aspect. Kuknalim. Jai Hind.”

 

CM Rio also wrote on X, “This year’s Hornbill Festival, is being taken to the next level with the participation by the United States, Germany and Colombia as  partner countries and Assam as the partner State. I take this opportunity to warmly welcome all our guests from across the country & abroad.”

The Nagaland was officially inaugurated on December 1, 1963 and became 16th states of India.
