Department of Telecommunications (DoT), North East Licence Service Area (LSA), Shillong today organised a 5KM Shillong city Run on the occasion of observation of Vigilance Awareness Week-2021. The run was led by Ms. Rephica Becky Pde, a renowned ultra-marathon runner from Shillong. Around 50 people participated in the run including senior officers from the Department of Telecommunications. The run commenced at 06:00 AM from CTO Building opposite Governor House Shillong and concluded at 06:45 AM at the same point. On the route, it covered Lady Hydari Park, Malki Point, Don Bosco Square and Gold Gym.
To grace the occasion, Shri Ajay Kumar Sahu, Sr. Deputy Director General; Shri KVK Prasad Rao, Deputy Director General (Administration), Shri Ashok Kumar Jain, Deputy Director General (Compliance); Shri Dilip Kumar, Deputy Director General (Rural); Shri Rajesh Kumar Maheshwari, Deputy Director General (Security) and other officers were present from DoT North-East, LSA in addition to Shri K. S. Madanpuri, Chief General Manager BSNL.
Vigilance awareness week is being observed from 26th October 2021 to 01st November 2021 with the theme “Independent India @75: Self Reliance with Integrity”
