Assam BJP has “sidelined” me for no reason: Former Nagaon MP Rajen Gohain

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has sidelined Former Member of Parliament (MP) from Nagaon constituency, Rajen Gohain, for no reason. This ha been alleged by the senior politician today in sidelined to a programme in Puranigudam, Nagaon.

Gohain was MP of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP ) from Nagaon Constituency from 1999-2019.

“When we used to do BJP, we walked together hand in hand. As the new politicians have come in, we gave been sidelined by the party leadership.”, said Gohain.

“If the BJP did not give me party ticket in 2021 elections, it cannot be expected that the same is going to happen in 2023 parliamentary polls. I would contest if i am given a ticket though. (Sic.)”, he added.

He further added, “I have not caused harm to anyone over the years. Neither the party nor the leadership. These are my last days in politics. I do not understand the reason behind this supposing political murder.”

Rajen Gohain also served as an Union Minister of State (MoS) for Railways in the last central cabinet, led by PM Narendra Modi. He had also voiced for an All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Raha, Nagaon. He continues to follow party ideology despite seeming in differences.
