Congress remark on President of India is a grave insult to the highest office of India, the women, tribal communities: Sarbananda Sonowal


The Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal came down heavily on the sly remark of Congress on the President of India. Addressing the media persons in the capital, Sarbananda Sonowal said, “The comment on our Honourable President of India is an insult to the highest office of our country, all the women of our country, India’s tribal communities, and every citizen of India. For this crime, the Congress must apologies.”


The joint press meet was also addressed by the Union Minister Kiren Rijiju, the Union Minister of State, Dr Bharati Pawar and the Union Minister of State, Rameshwar Teli at the BJP Headquarters in New Delhi today. The remarks were made in response to the the insulting comment by Congress leader & Member of Parliament (MP), Adhir Ranjan Choudhury on the President of India, Shri Droupadi Murmu.


Adding further, Sarbananda Sonowal said, “Since India’s independence, Congress has ruled the country for most part. However, the Congress always lacked respect for the tribal communities. The people of India won’t spare the Congress for this insult. As a tribal, I feel the Congress has hatched a conspiracy to make malicious statements against different communities and then, create divisions in the society threatening the unity and integrity of India. For this crime, the Congress party must apologies.”
