INS Netaji Subhas kickstarted the “Navy Day 2022” activities with the conduct of the Annual Naval ESM Meet in the Naval Base, Hastings on 06 Nov 22.
Matters concerning ESM Welfare viz Pension, Health Care, Career Counselling and common grievances were discussed and way ahead was deliverated to resolve the pending issues. About 650 ESMs including 25 Veernaris, Veteran Officers and Sailors attended the event. Various welfare initiatives for the Veernaris and ESM being progressed by Indian Navy were also disseminated during the meet.
Representatives of 19 Agencies pertaining to Ex-servicemen welfare including PCDA(N), DPDO (Kol), RSB(WB), Bengal Chamber of Commerce, Swavlambi Bharat Abhiyan, Support Elders Group, 10 Bank CPPCs and Financial Advisors from Bajaj Finance and Max Life Insurance had set-up help-desk kiosks/ stalls to enhance awareness amongst ESMs through their presentations. Naval Pension Office addressed the Meet online and set up a virtual Kiosk to address issues.
The ESM Meet was also attended online by Specialist Directorates from NHQ and Pensioners from the 11 States in the AOR of NOIC ( WB). All ESMs were hosted to a Community Lunch where they also interacted informally with Support Agencies.
