Troops of Border Out Post Boyaraghata, 115 Battalion under South Bengal Frontier, in the line of duty, apprehended a 07 year old minor girl with 107 grams (suspected Heroine) of narcotics. The apprehended minor girl has been identified as Ritu (fictitious name), Murshidabad.
On 24th December, 2022, the jawans received reliable and accurate information from the intelligence branch of BSF that a minor girl was going towards the Border alongwith narcotics substance. Immediately, Mahila Prahari stopped her, inquired and searched, then seized the said drug from her. During interrogation, the minor girl revealed that this drugs was given to her by her mother. She further revealed that after this she was going to hand over this item to her grandmother. But the BSF jawans apprehended her before completing the task.
The seized material and the minor girl has been handed over to the Police Station Raghunathganj for further legal action.
The Commanding Officer of 115 Battalion expressed happiness over the vigilance of BSF troops and stated that BSF troops are fully determined and determined to stop cross Border crimes and smuggling.
