On 17th February 2023, the 84 Battalion BSF of Sector Berhampur under South Bengal Frontier, organized a civic action program in the Border Outpost Kanjipur to develop good relations and mutual trust in the minds of the border residents. BSF distributed essential items useful in day today for the welfare of the border residents, benefiting about 40 villagers. Sports items were also distributed to raise awareness about sports among the youth.
Under the same program, 68 Battalion BSF at Border Outpost Ranghat distributed table-chairs, LED TV, sports equipment, and stationery to the primary school of village Kulia. Additionally, some farmers of Kulia, Ranghat, and Kashipur villages were presented with spraying machines and volleyball kits for the youth club.
BSF also organized a medical camp, which benefited about 400 villagers and also provided tricycles to two disabled villagers.
The teachers, students, and villagers expressed their gratitude for oraniseing such programs. They also urged BSF to organize similar programs in the future.
BSF remains committed to its efforts to promote the welfare of the border residents and the communities around the border areas. These initiatives are a part of its commitment to fostering mutual trust and cooperation with the local communities.
