The 68th Railway Week Awards – Ati Vishisht Rail Seva Puraskar, 2023 will be held at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi on 15th December, 2023.
Minister of Railways, Electronics and Information Technology & Communications, Ashwini Vaishnaw will present the Shields to all the winner of zonal railways for their excellence performance in the particular field.
Altogether 100 Individual Awards and 21 Efficiency Shields are to be distributed for outstanding performance.
The Safety Shield Awards has been jointly conferred to Northeast Frontier Railway and Southern Railway for maintaining high standard of efficiency in regards to the safety parameters during 2022-23. Derailment, collision, breach of signal, signal passing at danger, dashing with other vehicle over track, incidents in unmanned level crossings, cattle run over are the various safety parameters in which Northeast Frontier Railway registered least number of cases with high scoring as compared to other zonal railways.
Apart from these, 09 officials of Northeast Frontier Railway from various departments that excelled in various fields were conferred with Ati Vishisht Rail Seva Puraskar individual awards.
Subhanan Chanda, Dy. Chief Engineer Construction, Narendra Singh, Senior Divisional Signal & Telecom Engineer & Pranjit Das, Station Superintendent have been selected for their exemplary work done to improve operations, safety, better maintenance and utilization of assets. Migom Doley, Divisional Security Commissioner & Narendra Palei, Senior Section Engineer have been selected for their meritorious acts even in disregard to personal safety leading to protection of life and property on railways. Amish Gogoi, Assistant Personnel Officer has been selected for exemplary administrative capabilities. Amit Kumar Mani, Senior Divisional Signal & Telecom Engineer & Chandan Kumar, Senior Section Engineer have been selected for implementation of new innovations in their respective fields. Deba Prasad Hajarika, Chief Vigilance Inspector has been selected for special efforts made by him to increase earnings in railways by tackling with ticketless travellers, thefts.
